General Contractor Fees

Westover Construction, Inc. gives you a choice of the method used to determine the cost of your new home or other construction project.

Both the Cost Plus and the Set Price methods include sitting down with the homeowner to go over all specifications and blueprints to determine the total cost of the project. Bids are obtained from sub-contractors and suppliers and are included in this review process.

Cost Plus: Actual cost of the materials and labor plus a general contractor fee.

  • Actual cost of the materials and labor plus a general contractor fee
Mountain Home
  • Best if homeowner anticipates making many changes to the original plan during the construction process
  • If work is completed ahead of schedule, final cost may be less
  • More risk to homeowner due to changing market prices

Set Price Bid: Westover Construction, Inc. determines the total cost of your new home or other construction project and gives you a "set price" bid which will be the total cost of the completed project unless you make changes during the construction process.

Mountain Home
  • Know the exact cost of your completed home, unless you make changes, before construction begins
  • "Change orders," initiated by the homeowner, may increase or decrease the final cost but you will know by how much as soon as the "change order" is submitted
  • Westover Construction, Inc. assumes the financial risk of changing market prices
